iPantry – Food Inventory

I’m excited to share iPantry, my latest iOS app a simple but powerful tool to manage your pantry and groceries more effectively.

My wife and I kept forgetting what we had in the fridge, buying the same products twice, or throwing away expired food. I couldn’t find an app that was fast, intuitive, and privacy-focused… so I decided to build one.

Here’s what iPantry does:

• Create multiple pantries (kitchen, freezer, garage, etc.)
• Track what you have, what’s about to expire, and what you need to buy
• Share the grocery list with your family using Apple Reminders or iCloud
• Add quantity, location, expiry date, and custom notes to each item
• Receive alerts for low stock or soon-to-expire products
• Sync everything via iCloud, no account or login needed

The basic version is free, with gentle limitations (like 1 pantry, 10 products, 3 exports).
If you want unlimited access and no ads, you can upgrade to iPantry Pro via one-time purchase or subscription.

Why I built this iPantry – Food Inventory app?

This is not just a side project we actually use iPantry every day.

Whether it’s preparing a grocery list before going out or checking if we still have pasta in the garage pantry, iPantry helps us stay organized and avoid wasting food.

How it works iPantry – Food Inventory?

iPantry is designed to be as quick and intuitive as possible.

Start by adding the items you already have in your kitchen, fridge, or freezer you can include a name, quantity, photo, expiration date, and even location notes (like “top shelf” or “garage freezer”).

As you use up products, mark them with a tap to move them to your shopping list.

You can share that list automatically with your family using Apple Reminders or export it via email. iPantry keeps everything in sync via iCloud, so you and your partner can always stay updated no sign-in, no accounts needed.

You’ll also get gentle alerts when food is running low or about to expire a small feature that makes a big difference.

iPantry Food Inventory is available on the App Store. The core features are completely free to use, with a few gentle limitations. You can upgrade to iPantry Pro anytime to unlock unlimited pantries, exports, and remove all ads.
